NAM pipe marking project in Den Helder by Blomsma

Geplaatst op 26 May 2017

NAM pipe marking project – Blomsma Signs & Safety has started the pipe marking project for NAM in Den Helder. After a successful pilot at the LoCal (low calorific gas) part of the plant, Blomsma will now be providing pipe marking for the NOGAT (Northern Offshore Gas Transport) and HiCal (high calorific gas) parts. The purpose of the pilot was to give NAM Den Helder a clear picture of how Blomsma tackles pipe marking projects and what the end results are.

Give the scale of the project, we are proud of having had the opportunity to do this job as a team, and NAM now has every confidence in Blomsma’s expertise. These pipe markings also instantly mean that NAM Den Helder is compliant with the SodM (State Supervision of Mines) safety standard for pipe marking.

The pipe marking at NAM Den Helder will be done using PolyesPro®. This is a unique product that was developed jointly by Blomsma Signs & Safety and 3M™. PolyesPro® pipe markings feature a polyester sandwich of 3M™ materials with 3M™ MCS™ product warranties. The expected lifespan is more than fifteen years for both the colourfastness and the adhesion.

Our team of 3M™ Certified Sign Installers™ will be realising the entire project, supervised by a designated project engineer. The Blomsma team is familiar with this site and with the gas treatment plant, so they are able to work entirely independently. Old pipe markings will be removed when the new ones are applied. This will create an entirely new signage system.
