At Oranje Nassau Energie safety is paramount. Therefore, in the development of the Q16- Maas development, much attention was paid to the visual side of safety. Safety Signage is a perfect way to convey a message, from escape route signage to displaying properties of (hazardous) substances stored in tanks.

The first phase of the project consisted of a detailed ‘needs’ assessment and its translation into a sign plan. After an evaluation of the signplan the entire signage package was implemented by Blomsma Signs & Safety.

The installation was carried out by our Blomsma 3M™ certified mechanics, ensuring all relevant 3M™ product guarantees.

The Q16-Maas field was discovered in August 2011, by the drilling of a long reach exploration well from an onshore drilling location on the Maasvlakte, to a target 3.5 km off-shore. Oranje-Nassau Energie (ONE) is the operator and has a 46.5% stake in the field. While the well target lies in the Q16bc license, the field straddles the P18b, T01, S03 and Botlek licenses. First Gas and LPG were produced in April 2014, only 2.5 years after discovery of the field. The gas treatment plant has a total capacity of 1 million m³/day wet gas.
