RDM Training Plant safety signage provided by Blomsma

Geplaatst op 13 October 2017

The RDM Training Plant is a unique public-private partnership project in the heart of the port of Rotterdam. The commercial sector and technical education are joining forces here to construct a real-life training facility aimed at both technical students and existing staff in the petrochemicals and process industries.

True-to-life simulations
The RDM Training Plant uses true-to-life simulations to familiarise vocational course students with their future places of work and the challenging safety culture that is part of it. Technicians who already have their diplomas can take sector-specific training courses to add depth to their knowledge of the requirements of their profession. The private and public sectors quite literally meet at the Training Plant: the trainers and students come from both commercial companies and education. The safety standards that apply at the RDM Training Plant are effective building blocks for the new standards that the industrial community is aiming for in the Rotterdam port area and elsewhere.

Blomsma Signs & Safety is providing the safety signage
The aim was that the Training Plant should also have typical health and safety signage, which naturally has to comply with current legislation and regulations too. Blomsma Signs & Safety is supplying that safety signage and helping provide a recognisable, safe working environment for course students, staff, visitors and contractors.

Blomsma is fitting out the entire Training Plant with the correct markings, ranging from access signs and overview maps to pipeline and tank labelling – and will continue to do so. This means that the RDM Training Plant will also keep setting the standard for safety signage.
