Safety Signage Pipe marking

IHC dredgers Moab Mameesh and Hussein Tantawy – IMO safety signage, pipe marking and SprayStop

The cutter suction dredgers Moab Mameesh and Hussein Tantawy (construction numbers 1299 and 1300) built by Royal IHC have been fitted with IMO safety signs, pipe markings according to ISO 14726 and SprayStop tape by Blomsma Signs & Safety. Both vessels were built to be used for maintenance and improvement of the Suez Canal in Egypt. The owner of the vessels is the Suez Canal Authority.

All IMO safety signs are made of PETX material. This innovative material is the environmentally friendly alternative to the widely used PVC. These PETX signs are completely recyclable, which reduces the carbon footprint of the signs. Another advantage of these PETX signs is their UV resistance. Whereas PVC discolours and yellows in the course of time, PETX will not.

In addition to the signs, we were also asked to supply the pipe markings for these ships, as well as the SprayStop tape. This SprayStop tape is obligatory for pipes with flammable content, and is placed over valves and flanges to prevent dangerous situations caused by leaks and sprays. This SprayStop also comes with all the necessary internationally recognised certificates.
