Sign plan, engineering, production and installation of safety signage on One Dyas platform P11E

At the end of 2015, Blomsma Signs & Safety received the order from One Dyas to realize the safety signage on platform P11E. Based on a sign plan, Blomsma took care of the engineering, production and installation of the complete package of safety signage.

This sign plan has been extensively reviewed by One Dyas. By providing clarity in advance about the necessary signage, including implementation, the customer immediately has a clear picture of what they can expect. The sign plan also serves as a basis for future maintenance.

Project approach and scope

The scope of the project for platform P11E included:

  • Safety Area & Arrival (multiple) signs
  • Safety Drawings (Escape Plans en Safety Plans)
  • Platform ID Signs
  • Max. Deckload Signs
  • Pipe marking

Implementation

The primary goal of the project was to provide the P11E Platform with a complete and cohesive safety signage system that complies with applicable laws and regulations. The implementation of the project took place in the Netherlands, at the Heerema shipyard in Zwijndrecht. The sign plan, all engineering, drawing work and production was realized from our location in Zoetermeer.

About the P11E platform

P11E is an unmanned gas production platform from ONE-Dyas. This unmanned platform stands on a 4-legged jacket and produces by means of 2 producing wells, the P11E-01 & P11E-02 and is under the P11a license. The platform is located approximately 50 km northwest of The Hague and 55 km north-west of the Rotterdam harbor mouth.
